The Microsoft BI Professionals - Wisconsin is an official chapter of the Professional Association for SQL Server and is also a recognized Microsoft Power BI User Group. Our objective is to provide a forum for Wisconsin Business Intelligence professionals of all levels to network, ask questions, share knowledge and expertise with other members. We plan to meet quarterly. Meetings are always FREE and food is provided. Details about the next meeting can be found on this page.

In conjunction with our quarterly meetings which cover all areas of the Microsoft BI stack, we will be offering Power BI specific meetings on a monthly basis (when there is no quarterly meeting). Those meetings will be posted here as well and we will keep group members updated via email.

Join us on the Power BI Community site and create an account. You can use the site to ask any questions and also affiliate yourself to our particular User Group!  Win prizes and swag for group and community participation.

New PUG Site Introduction and Overview & Using OData in Power BI - Workshop

 Intro:
This meeting is a true "Two-fer".
We'll have two seperate presentations in this meeting.

The first will be walking you through all the new and exciting changes to the Power BI User Group site. There are so many more ways you can get involved and be part of the Power BI Community, that we wanted to introduce you to the site and show you around.

The second part will be a hands on workshop style approach to learning how to use Odata in Power BI.
Bring your Laptops loaded with PowerBI.  We will be working through gathering data using the Open Data OData protocol and building the Stacked Bar Chart, Clustered Column and Waterfall Visuals.  This month will be great for beginner users who want some more familiarity with loading data and building visualizations.
